the original Rob, Laura and Richie Peetrie from "THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW" pilot "HEAD OF THE FAMILY"-Carl Reiner, Barbara something and I forget the kids name.

(their name was changed to "Petrie" when Dick said that "Peetrie" might be hard for people to remember)

I own a Brother AX-22 typewriter that I bought in February 1989, but I haven't used it in a few years. It needs ribbons and a correction tape, and I'm going to buy them tomorrow.

IDK? I was seriously thinking of trying to find out where I could buy one!;) I'm not all that proficient on a computer and sometimes I would like to type a letter and I feel it would be easier for me to type it up on a simple old fashioned typewriter and not have to save it or not and worry that I am doing something wrong and adding stuff I don't need or deleting stuff I do need and all the cr*p that goes along with using a computer!

I would like one too for letters. I'm in several pen pal groups and computer generated letters are frowned upon.

I have one in my room, it's been gathering dust since I picked it up at a flea market some years ago.

I haven't had typewriter in 20 years.
One day I was watching I've Got a Secret on Buzzr tv and a man's secret was, He could type extremely fast. I watched him go and I remembered the old non electric typewriters, you had to hit the return bar to get back to the left of the sheet of paper.
With computers/ word processer, none of hitting a bar. I personally wouldn't go back to typewriters. Since writing this note, I made more goofs and a delete backspace works for me. You can keep your wite out, carbon paper, erasers and the near by waste basket.

As for pen pal writing, How does the club know you have use a computer. . I write to pen pals too.
