great, I'll be able to see BARNEY MILLER again-I couldn't before because my local affiliate reruns the 10:00 news when it's on.

Okay.......trying to bring things back on topic here. What say y'all about the schedule changes? Those are some significant changes! Looks, unfortunately, like Mork and Mindy bombed big time. It only joined the lineup in January, and it's already being relegated to a 6 am slot? Kinda surprised about Bewitched and Jeannie too. Very surprised about the nice slot for Partridge Family. Sorry to see Family Ties exit prime time, though I guess I'm not surprised. And it's been there since last fall, which is more time in prime time than other rerun channels have given it. (The show never seems to do very well in repeats, and I'm not quite sure why; it really doesn't feel that dated to me, and its quality certainly holds up.) On the flip side, a better time slot for Barney Miller means I may check it out more often.

So, which series have been dropped? I can't get to the site, so I need some help. Here are a couple I don't see on the new schedule (please add to, or correct as needed):

Dennis the Menace
Father Knows Best

What about Newhart? Still on very late?

I also don't see Burns and Allen, which is one of their originals (as were FKB and DTM, I think), unless B&A are taking the 4 am slot. (editing post: sorry, didn't see there was a page 2!)

The schedule change might be for the holiday. Norman Lear is picking his favorite episodes to air July 3 or July 4. Do the changes have anything do with this?

Do the changes have anything do with this? The schedule is the same on July 4 and 5 so it's a permanent change. The Norman Lear marathon is just July 3. But I do find it disgusting that his shows get 6 straight hours on weekdays in plum slots. Air Family Ties and Newhart from 5-7PM and stick some Lear after midnight.

Yeah, I don't understand why Antenna and also MeTV aren't more willing to move more of their series from "graveyard shift" to more popular times of day -- I mean without giving some of those a try in daylight hours or late primetime, how will they ever know the potential popularity? They can always switch back of course.

Thanks to "Alan Brady's Hair" for answering my previous post. It seems that the shows they're removing happened to have 100% black-and-white runs, so maybe Antenna is generally shifting away from pre-1965 programming...?

I really hope they are not shifting away. They are keeping Leave It To Beaver, from what I see. I really would like the channel to play the shows that I cannot see on every other channel that reruns shows in syndication.

Not sure I like the schedule change so much. I would like a bit more variety in primetime. Maybe move some of the primetime shows around the schedule to give other shows half a chance. There was a time when this station was the place I turned to for shows I never saw elsewhere (Bachelor Father for example) and now they look like they are taking a turn like N@N and TVLand did, less classics and more modern shows.

Why is Sabrina Teenage Witch on a channel called Antenna TV anyways? Isn't that to new for this channel?

I enjoy watching a bit of McHale's Navy before leaving for work in the mornings. Now it's Mork & Mindy..........:mumble:

I love Robin Williams. Despite that, I never got into that show. Unfortunately, both Retro TV and Me-TV have paid ads on during that timeframe in my area. :( I guess I'll be channel-surfing for the duration.
