One thing that I have written quite a bit about on this page is an episode of the "Honeymooners" called the "Hot Dog Stand". The fact that I wrote about it here is because I find the outcome of that episode to be quite similar to the outcome of the third-season episode of this show called "Samantha's Protest". The last time that I wrote about that episode, I mentioned how it had recently got uploaded onto You Tube. It had been up there before, but it got taken down. The upload that I had written about then is gone, but somebody new had uploaded it again! According to what it says on the screen, this upload happened three days ago. The person who uploaded it this time around goes by the pen name "Southern Redneck". Next to his or her user name is an emblem of a Confederate flag. One thing that I have read and heard quite a bit about is people, (especially black people) getting offended by the site of the Confederate flag. I have heard that this is the main reason that syndicated episodes of the "Dukes of Hazard" are as hard to find as they are. However, there are a lot of people from the south who will retaliate by saying that the symbolism of the Confederate flag has nothing to do with prejudice against black people. Some will go as far as saying that the Civil War was not really about slavery in the first place. As far off of the point of "Gimme a Break!" as this issue might seem, I am writing about it here as simply one more attempt to stimulate some conversation about something.
