In the past, I have posted threads in which I have mentioned having various disabilities. A lot of you can probably figure that reality out by the content of some of my other threads, not to mention my replies to existing threads. You see, because of my learning disability as well as other issues, it took me until I was nine-years-old to progress from "Sesame Street" to cartoons. I was already twelve by the time that I was able to appreciate any type of prime-time sitcoms. This is with the exception of a few old sitcoms that were syndicated during weekday afternoons. However, one thing that you have to understand is that, even though my mind stayed back year after year, my body did not. Ever since I was eleven, my motor was running nonstop! It is because of the females in shows like "Gimme a Break!" that they appealed to me. I developed the biggest crush on Julie when I was twelve. I was seventeen when she left the show and I was devastated! Well, another show that I developed an appreciation for when I was twelve was the variety show hosted by Barbara Mandrell. When I was thirteen, there was an episode in which Dolly Parton was a guest. I could not stop drooling! One the 30th of last month, I started a thread called "Two Recent Events". One of the recent events that I touched on in this thread is somebody's speculation that Maureen McCormick (Marsha from "The Brady Bunch") might be part American Indian. The way that I tied this in with "Gimme a Break!" is by mentioning a time when American Indians were mentioned on a third-season episode. Well, on the same "Brady Bunch" thread in which the poster mentioned his or her speculations about Maureen McCormick, this poster also mentioned Dolly Parton. According to this poster, Dolly Parton is definitely part American Indian. I had no idea of this! Telling you guys about what I had read is just another attempt to stimulate some conversation.
