Just finished watching the Decades Binge (I recorded them all). Anyone else notice that after a KAOS or Control agent is shot, there is no blood? Curious...
Well first of all Get Smart is a sitcom not a drama. Secondly it was made in the 1960's a kindler gentler time on TV. Even on westerns and detective shows of that era you rarely saw blood!

Nobody bleed in the sixties, just like how no one shared a bed in the fifties

But it took years of practice!

I believe Sam Peckinpah was the 1st movie maker to have the gun shooter and the man killed BOTH in the camera shot ... was not allowed till he pulled it off

He did some early The Rifleman episodes and they are very violent - one has Lucas McCain laying on the ground shot but did not die !
