Here's the story:
Two years ago, a man named Patrick McGuire contacted game show trader Jason Cranmer to lend him his VHS/Betamax collection of game show episodes for analog to digital conversion. Among them were many 1984 episodes of Press Your Luck. These were recorded in San Francisco, California.
Now granted, all of these have already aired on GSN, and the May 31, 1984 and October 4, 1985 shows are still missing. But the great thing about having these original broadcasts is that you get everything, including the ticket and contestant plugs that you DON'T get on GSN.
So if you want to see PYL as it original aired on CBS, this is the place for you.
