This weekend, late Friday night, June 3, 2016, America lost Cassius Clay, known legally and professionally as Muhammad Ali since his 1964 conversation to Muslim.

Cassius died Friday night of Respiratory Failure after a long fight against Parkinson's Disease at a local Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona at age 74.

Born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky, Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. was the oldest of 2 sons (including younger brother, Rahman Clay, also known as Rahman Ali) born to Odessa and Cassius Clay, Sr.

Cassius began Boxing as a Hobby at age 12 after his Bicycle was Stolen; he eventually turned Pro at age 22, shortly after his Muslim conversion and name change to Muhammad Ali.

Cassius most famously, in TV Land, appeared on a 1979 episode of the '70s sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" where Gary Coleman's character Arnold pretended to be deathly ill in order to meet Cassius.

Besides his younger brother, Cassius is survived by his wife of 30 years, Yolanda, and 9 children from 4 marriages--including daughter Laila Ali, who followed her famous father into Professional Boxing but has since retired, and a grandchild, Laila's young daughter.

Here's to you, Cassius Clay!!!! RIP
