I’m a big fan the new generation of leading women: Brie Larson is spectacular, and an excellent choice for Captain Marvel. Alicia Vikander was incredible in Ex Machina, and she probably deserves better than the Tomb Raider reboot. Shailene Woodley is also a much, much better actress than the Divergent series suggests, and Elizabeth Olsen is so good that I hope the Scarlet Witch either gets her own spin-off or becomes a major character in another one of the Marvel stand-alone movies.

Somewhere along the way, however, Jane Levy (http://www.vulture.com/2017/01/time-for-jane-levy-to-have-a-breakout-year.html?mid=twitter_vulture) got lost in the It-ness of it all. Perfect in the too short-lived Suburgatory, great in the surprisingly good Evil Dead reboot, and fantastic in a tense and original horror movie called Don’t Breathe that will be out in August (I saw it at SXSW. It deserves better than the late August dumping grounds).

She has not, however, broken into the Star Wars or X-Men or Marvel or even the DC universe yet, but she is starring in Monster Trucks, a movie about a monster in a truck. It looks like a movie drummed up by a three-year-old playing on the floor in his living room. MONSTERS! TRUCKS! It’s like Pacific Rim: A concept, rather than an actual movie, that’s based on two popular things mashed together.

This is the trailer. I will tell you that it’s terrible, and you will still be surprised by how laughably awful it actually is.

Jane Levy is hot. Also, I liked Subergatory a lot. It shouldn't have been cancelled.

I'm saying this from the first episodes of Suburgatory: she truly is a great actress and should given a chance on some major role otuside bad comedies and horror.
