I might as well buy a homemade set from ioffer. The credit crunches are just unacceptable. I wish Me would get the good shows and then give Antenna Bonanza and Gunsmoke. I could care less about those two stupid shows. They can crunch those all they want.

Warning: The homemade set originates from someone's VHS tapes from the 1980's. They were taped at slowest speed, and the DVD's are just straight copies of the VHS. To say they DVD set is horrible is being too charitable. I reordered it a few years back from another source, and that is the same--in other words, that is all that is out there...the only good thing to say about it, when it's barely viewable, at least it's the full, unedited version (but the end credits still aren't clean--it's just as NBC aired it, with the blathering announcer of the time...)

MeTV has never aired Silver Spoons. According to Wikipedia MeTV Chicago (local) airs Silver Spoons, I think on the weekend. If this is where the Ioffer set is sourced, then it's probably gonna be good. I'm chancing it!

You must really hate those credit crunches. I have never heard someone complain that much about such a small problem. In my opinion, it just seems dumb to not watch a Tv show just because the end credits are squished.

:yeahthat

Sorry, but I do agree that it's not a big deal about the credits. Who reads the credits anyways!? Now, I could understand if you were actually losing valuable episode time but the credits are useless.

I do enjoy the end credits to see the stars names and everyone who worked on the show but it's not that big of a deal if they're crunched

I just hate the way they do it. If they eliminate the end credits, I can live with that. I hate seeing the opening credits in a small box and they always start their programs a minute late. If I DVR a show, I always have to set it a minute later. I really haven't watched the channel much since they've started that. I've stuck mainly to Me-TV and Cozi.

That's the same with me. I just hate that split screen format that they use on most of their shows. The overlap ruins both the closing of one show and the opening of the next. Even though I don't like the other crunch done during prime time, at least the opening on those is full screen and if I was to make a set I could just dub over the audio of the closing with the full theme. I hope this show is in prime time and not during the rest of the day when the overlapping one is done.

The ioffer set, offered on a collector to collector basis, is really good. Season 2 and Season 3 are 'old-style' syndication versions, a little over 22 minutes long (over 2 minutes longer than what's on Logo right now). For season 4, all episodes are nearly 25 minutes long, and are completely unedited...they even have the original star tags for commercial breaks (Silver Spoons will begin after these messages, And now, Silver Spoons, etc.). Season 5 episodes, with a couple of exceptions, are syndication length, probably because the original episodes are that length. The quality is great, and probably would be even better if they didn't jam so many episodes onto a DVD (8 for 2 and 3, and 12 for 4 and 5).
