"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's" Gabrielle Ruiz Promoted to Series Regular

Rebecca Bunch may have won the battle for Josh in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s" first season finale, but the war isn’t necessarily over.
Gabrielle Ruiz (aka Josh’s new ex-girlfriend Valencia) has been promoted to series regular ahead of The CW comedy’s second season, TVLine has learned exclusively.
“In the middle of shooting our first season, Rachel [Bloom] once told me on set that she was a little sad Rebecca’s and Valencia’s friendship was so short-lived,” Ruiz says.
“I could not agree more. I hope Rebecca and Valencia get another chance to make things work between them. I mean, they’re both now ex-girlfriends! Crazy or not, at least they now have something in common.”
