The latest "I Love Lucy" Superstar Special last night won its time slot according to the overnight ratings. I Love Lucy had 5.43 million viewers. The second highest rating in the 8:00 slot was Grimm on NBC, with 4.13 million, so Lucy was far ahead. Beyond the Tank on ABC was 3rd, with 3.91 million; Easy A on Fox was 4th, with 1.94 million; and the season premiere of Masters of Illusion on the CW came in last with 1.49 million.

For the night, Blue Bloods on CBS was #1 of the 13 prime time Friday night shows with 5.59 million viewers; Shark Tank on ABC was #2 with 5.46 million viewers; and I Love Lucy was third.

I guess this probably means more colorized I Love Lucys to come.

Due to them changing the days, I missed it.
Are they rerunning it or is it available elsewhere?

So which one does everyone want to see next? I figure it'll be at Christmas, so one slot will be taken by the Christmas episode. I'd set up a poll, but I'm not 100% sure which ones have already been used.

I'd like to see when The Ricardo's broke the lease.
Also, any ones from Connecticut.

I'm not surprised. Considering the sea of "terrible" shows on TV these days, quite frankly, I would expect ILL to have more like 15 to 20 million views as opposed to 5 million.

An episode I would like to see colorized is "Lucy & The Dummy" just for the curiosity factor. That being is CBS going to show the "built-in" movie trailer that was part of the show's original airing but edited out in syndication and for home video releases due to clearance issues. I highly doubt that they will for obvious reasons but if they do, it's not a big deal to me.

Can you explain because which one is Lucy and the Dummy? Also, what is this built in movie trailer that your talking about?

From tv.com:

Lucy thinks she may have finally gotten her big break in Hollywood. It all centers on a posh party attended by studio execs. Ricky was invited to attend but begged off. But Lucy will fool 'em. She has a lifelike rubber replica of Ricky's head, which she'll attach to a dummy body — and she'll dance her way to stardom with "Raggedy Ricky."

As far as the trailer goes, it was for Frank Sinatra's movie Guys & Dolls. Like I said, I seriously doubt that CBS would air that trailer unless they were doing some sort of cross-promotion and the film was going to be on Decades channel and I highly doubt that that will happen either.

I'm not surprised that this epic masterpiece,60+ years old is still going strong, and running rings around far less superior fare. But then I guess that's one of the key characteristics of a classic--still riveting even when it appears generations later. I LOVELUCY!!!!!!

Not to keeping talking about it but I have never seen Raggedy Ricky. Has it been in rotation? Again, never even heard of the episode.

Yeah. It's in the regular line up of the Hollywood eps. ;)

One that I think would be great colorized is the one where Lucy does her own perm and makes her own dress, both turning out to be a disaster! :D

I'd like Lucy and Harpo Marx.
Rock Hudson in Palm Springs.
Lucy Tells the Truth. Knife throwing act on TV.

Here are a few of my favorites I'd like to see in color:

Ethel's hometown is visited (on the way to Hollywood), where everyone thinks she's a star - Vivian Vance sings "Shortenin' Bread"

Ricky's Uncle Alberto visits from Cuba, making Lucy very nervous; Little Ricky is great with his drum & performance (Keith Thibodeaux is TERRIFIC in this one)

And any other with Desi performing "Babalu," "Cuban Pete," "Big Straw Hat," "Santiago Chile," etc.

That's an excellent suggestion! Imagine the fun they can have doing that disastrous dress in color! And the hair! Yes, yes, I like that suggestion. That's the type of episode that's worth the effort of colorizing: both very funny, and with elements that would be even funnier if seen in color.

Just on this week on MeTV, the (IMO) perfect episode to colorize: The Operetta. I was watching and thinking, this episode was meant for color. All those wonderful costumes, and Lucy as the Queen of the Gypsies. That needs to be seen in full color! Plus, it's the funniest musical ever  and, according to someone I met who knew Lucille Ball, her favorite episode.
