In other words, shows that for whatever reason were so bad, they didn't last very long no matter how much the critics loved them (occasionally). You know - the kind of show that has one wondering, "Did anyone actually watch this before putting it on TV?"

Can God, The Devil, and Bob count?

Because on one side, many found this show blasphemy...not because of the use of God looking like Jerry Garcia, but because the show wasn't funny. And the other side is...the jokes were too weak during the third-wave of cartoon sitcoms (the 90's was the second-wave and the 60's was the first-wave).

It's not a sitcom but Cop Rock (OK so not even many critics liked it but there were a few). I just can't understand how anybody in their right mind thought this was a good idea and let this show get on the air. It was completely ridiculous.

I second the "Cop Rock" nomination. Who thought this was a good idea?!

God, The Devil and Bob was one of those awful shows that just had to happen.

It debuted at a very awkward time, when both Mad About You and NewsRadio just ended. It had nothing else going for it at the time.

The same goes for The Michael Richards Show.

I was going to say Cop Rock too. Horrible show yet my dad thought it was good.

Oh yeah the caveman show. I wanted to like it because I liked the Geico caveman commercials. But the show was just stupid and awful. Another what were they thinking when they let that garbage on the air idea.

I thought of one I've heard about, but it's a British show and not American so I've never seen the single episode that aired. Yes that's right just one episode, though I assume you could find it on Youtube but I have no interest in looking for it. It was a sitcom called Heil Honey I'm Home! It's about Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun living in the suburbs and their next door neighbors are Jewish and have no idea what Hitler does for a living or what his beliefs are I guess. Somehow this garbage was created and I don't know how many episodes were filmed and then it was approved by the TV network and the premier episode was broadcast. As you would rightly assume the public was very outraged and the network was flooded with complaints and the show was immediately cancelled and that was the end of that. How in the name of humanity the TV execs even thought of putting something so offensive on the air is a complete mystery to me. Unbelievable and outrageous.
