"Jimmy Kimmel Live" Renewed for Three More Years, Through Season 23 on ABC
by Michael Schneider
Sept. 20, 2022

As he prepares to celebrate two decades in late night, Jimmy Kimmel has agreed to stick around for at least three more years. Kimmel announced on Tuesday that he would continue his run as host of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” through the show’s 23rd season, extending his contract — which was set to expire in the next year.

Kimmel has fronted “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as host and executive producer since 2003. “After two decades at ABC, I am now looking forward to three years of what they call ‘quiet quitting,’” he quipped in a statement.

I cannot figure out how Jimmy Kimmel has turned into the king of ABC with his talk show and how his show has survived so long on ABC. Because when he first appeared making his debut on Comedy Central's Win Ben Stein's Money little did we know that Jimmy Kimmel would become a rising star with his show. Because I think Jimmy has this fantasy that he wants to be like Johnny Carson and is trying to become the new Johnny Carson. But I think he's trying to be ABC's top celebrity and by getting shows such as hosting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in it's revival and being with the biggest names in Hollywood such as Regis Philbin and Chris Pratt to Margot Robbie. With this new contract Jimmy Kimmel will continue to be a rising star in late night TV to join the ranks of James Corden Jay Leno and Seth Myers and David Letterman

Because he's become another cheerleader for the Democrats. That's all they have to do. It's not like he's funny or anything.

I'm sure the legacy nets blame streaming for their declining audiences, but really, it's the content.

Is there anyone funny in late night? Yes! The initials are GG: (from Wikipedia): "On most days, [his show] averages more viewers than The Tonight Show, The Daily Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!."
