The transition from TV to the big screen is a difficult one. David Caruso had recently ditched NYPD Blue expecting to be a movie star. He failed spectacularly. Unlike Caruso, Rob Morrow spent several seasons on Northern Exposure. But his movie career didn’t exactly take off either. In May of 1996, Morrow was promoting the new drama Last Dance and hoping to avoid Caruso’s fate.
