Ok, I will say something. I think June is kind of a dingbat on the show. I mean having the boys sign a pact to do everything together? Her nose being out of joint because the boys wanted to get even with Lumpy? Ward teaching Beaver how to fight and her issues about it. Not to mention Aunt Martha.

Mets82, I don't think June was a dingbat, but, yes, she did often overreact. Like when Wally had the Elvis like pomp hairdo. June was about ready to die. Girl,it's a hairdo. He'll get tired of it; he'll change it. Yeah, the time period was more conservative. Otherwise, I think June was an excellent TV mom.

is more loyal to her students than the teachers union.

Yes! I just saw that last night playing against Petticoat Junction. It was cool ,two of my favorite old classic shows playing each other! ;) I was hoping Wally/Tony Dow would have been on though!

Larry also talked about his older brother a lot. But yeah, Larry's younger brother was like Lumpy's older brother, mentioned (I think) only once.

Okay, I'll post a synopsis of the fanfic that I've thought about but never written. It's actually a continuation of the fanfic I did write about Larry returning to Mayfield just before Beaver and he start high school, and Wally and the gang go to 'State.'

Eddie is still sore about the Alpha Kappa fraternity situation.Wally does get his invitation to become a pledge, but they tell Eddie he must wait for at least a full year because of the letter he wrote removing himself from consideration, based on the malicious rumor of the guy who was kicked out. When Eddie found out the truth, he and Wally asked Ward, who had written a letter recommending them to his old frat, to please write again and tell them Eddie apologizes for having written his letter based on that guy's slander.

But it seems there is another Eddie-like candidate from another town who wants into that fraternity, and he and Eddie talk about their mutual frustration. They offer that other guy the chance to be their houseboy during an all-night party, saying he will be considered if he serves them well at their parties that semester. They do sneak in a little booze and play some poker, and one of the members has a Playboy magazine. One of the top guys then gets an idea-- he tells the houseboy that if he can get a nude picture of some girl or woman they know about-- or a woman who would be scandalized-- he will recommend him as a pledge right away. This guy tells Eddie what he has been offered, and then Eddie gets an idea. He tells them his friend, pledge Wally Cleaver, has a gorgeous mother who is partial to him (Eddie), so he will get a nude photo of June Cleaver. A couple of the frat brothers have already met Ward and June once, when they came with Wally as he was moving in, so such an idea would be-- Eddie thinks-- fascinatingly hot for them. Eddie knows, of course, that he could never get such a photo of June willingly. But he is already thinking of how he might get it secretly. As to how it could be kept a secret-- especially from Wally, would beat the *#^% out of Eddie for even considering such a thing-- Eddie's limited vision didn't think about the possibilities for blackmail, and especially not for a criminal charge against him. But if he helped this guy get what he needed to gain acceptance into the fraternity, with the agreement that he would tell them that Eddie was the mind behind it, that could help Eddie himself.

Alright-- does this go too far for LITB? There is still the Beaver half of the story I haven't thought much about yet, except he and Larry will be freshmen football heroes.
Who is the creep that is going to take the naked pic of June? Eddie? Like how is he going to do that without committing some kind of crime?

Is Eddie supposed to wait until June goes into the shower and then sneak into his friend's parents room and go into their private bathroom to take the pic? ( I have never, never, never gone into my friend parent's room)

Ward will toss him out the window and Beaver will be scarred for life. Heck, I am going to be scarred for life.
