why did he leave the show i never under stood why they wrote him to go away????

Jonathan Taylor Thomas left Home Improvement so he could devote himself full-time to his college studies.

but yet he was in a few movies?? i dont get it oh well

all i can say is i wish he hadn't left it wasn't as funny without him
