Legends of Tomorrow fans received a shock in the season’s penultimate episode, “Destiny.” (https://www.yahoo.com/tv/39-legends-of-tomorrow-39-recap-one-1427910784426038.html) Unlike DC TV predecessor Arrow, which telegraphed an important character death (http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Why-Legends-Tomorrow-Big-Death-Doesn-t-Mean-What-You-Think-137737.html) from the very beginning of the season, Legends chose to spring it on viewers in the middle of a very intense team mission. Former Time Master Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) learned that in addition to his bosses being in league with villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), they had been using the Oculus device to not only see time, but to actually manipulate Hunter and his team every step of the way. Beginning with a pep talk from Ray (Brandon Routh) and valiant efforts from Snart (Wentworth Miller), Sara (Caity Lotz), and a returning Jax (Franz Drameh), our heroes completed their new mission to destroy the Oculus. While he won’t be a regular cast member on the Waverider next season, Deadline reports that actor Miller has signed a series regular contract with Warner Bros. TV.
