She seemed to have gotten worse near the end of the series and even when she announced her marriage to Don Santry, she slipped right back into a state of crying. She also has issues of self-esteem which if I recall correctly is a symptom of depression.

Rebecca was a hot mess but I don't know if she was clinically depressed.
She was written all over the map if you ask me.
She started out as an icy, tough business woman and then became a neurotic and then a gold digger when she told Robin Colcord at their nixed nups that she "only loved him for his money". Poor, Sweet Baby. :(
I don't know if she was clinically depressed but she definitely suffered from high anxiety a lot of the time.

You are 100% spot on. Start of season 6 she was great, very smart business women. Then it went down hill, chasing robin around. After that she phoned it in by just carrying a box of receipts around and making lame comments. She hardly ever took part in what the of the people in the bar was up to

I never liked Rebecca. Even though Kirstie Alley appeared in more episodes than Shelley Long, I thought Rebecca was a Type A neurotic crybaby.

Completely agree with you. I never have been a Rebecca fan, mainly because I don't care for Kirstie Alley.
