I remember seeing this show probably in the late 60's and seeing much of the show in black and white. If I recall, the season where was Lucy goes to Marineland was in color. Just read on Wikipedia that the 2nd season to the Marine land season , were aired in black and white. I found that interesting. Lucy had filmed color shows, but aired in black and white.

Lucille Ball was looking ahead to the inevitable: color television. NBC was owned by RCA, which was a major producer of television sets. So NBC started broadcasting many of its shows in color earlier than the other networks in order to help boost sales of RCA color television sets. CBS had no interest in helping NBC's parent company sell TVs, so they continued broadcasting in B&W for several seasons. But Lucille Ball saw the writing on the wall. She wanted to make sure her show had some additional life in reruns; hence, she starting filming her shows in color, starting in 1963, even though CBS continued broadcasting it in B&W, until 1965.
