Yeah, I noticed that, too. I was wondering whether the people who put that ad together actually watch CBS. That's a big goof.

My mother reminded me of the special. I'm watching it. Man, can Lucy whine with the best of them? "Ricky, we haven't been anywhere," "Ricky, we hardly have any souvenirs." Plus, she wants to steal John Wayne's footprints. I mean you can't do that. She acts like a spoiled brat. When, she took the footprints, her ass should have been in jail.

Lucy's ass should have been in jail for so many things including kidnapping a "girl" singer and gagging and locking her in a closet.:D

Her ass ended up in cement...

I'm sorry I guess I am a little old fashioned but I don't want to see Lucy colorized. I love the episodes and the one with John Wayne is one of my favorites but I don't think I'm going to watch it in color.

Yup, that's the eternal debate. I think it's OK as long as the B&W versions are also readily available.

I know how you feel, Nordy but they have really improved the process, I think it looks glorious in color.

Of course it also looks glorious in black and white as well.

Me too!! I prefer the original black & white (makes it seem older,more charming) but it is fun to see it in color for a change! It's fun, glad they are putting these colorized specials on! :) ;)

I missed it too. I was busy with company and I forgot to record it. I hope they can show these again at Christmas in addition to the usual Christmas one.

I'm used to seeing ILL in black and white. The color really doesn't do anything for me. I don't mind either way.

I watched these episodes last night, dozed off to sleep during the 2nd half hour so I missed a little. What I saw was fairly funny though, the colorization looked fake and not realistic but I expected that anyway.

I'm not a fan of colorizing B&W episodes but this looked glorious

If you're looking for someone to pick on, I suggest you bother mets82 for saying her ass should have been in jail. I don't see you complaining about that.

I thought the color was very well-done, unless someone is expecting the result to be like the filming took place today. This is probably as good as it gets for 60-year-old film.

Part 2 demonstated to me why this was a superior series. The inventive ways the cement impressions got ruined -- that really "made" the eps for me.

After watching, I want to go out and have my hair dyed red!!!

I agree. And I think they finally got Lucy's hair color right. It was a bit of a distraction in the other colorized episodes. It had been looking like she was walking around with fire on her head. But last night I thought it looked very, very close to her actual hair color. There were several times last night that I had to stop and remind myself I was watching a colorized show. It was so well done that I got caught up in simply watching the show and would forget about the colorization.

I know it won't happen, but I think it would be fun sometime if one of Lucy's films could also be aired by CBS, right after the special. "The Long, Long Trailer" would be a good choice since it's a color movie.

If any more Hollywood eps will be colorized, the one I'd like to see most is the Harpo Marx appearance.

I can't find the thread where we were picking eps. that we thought should be made into colorized versions! So I'll post here!

The ep.where Lucy picks out Ethel's birthday gift for Fred, the hostess pants. And Ethel doesn't like them and insults them in front of Lucy, not knowing she picked them out, NOT Fred! It would be fun to see them in color!
