"Gilligan, The Goddess" aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on CBS as the 98th and final firstrun episode of Gilligan's Island (http://www.gilligansisle.com/).

Maybe some of the cast will still be around in 2014 and they can be compared to what they looked like in that dream sequence where it was their 50th year on the island :) .

If you think about it 2014 is only 12 years from now.
I believe unless something untoward happens that at least
Bob Denver and Dawn Wells should still be around by then.

I'm watching on my VCR the episode about the keptivora berry (you know-Gilligan sees everything upside down due to a knock on the head, the Professor cures him but uninentionally unexpectedly makes him see everything in duplicate with his berry potion, then Gilligan drinks the same stuff again he sees everything in groups of fives, then after the berry juice is literally watered down he sees things rightside up.)

Anyway that last episode(similiar to what is the case with both theatrical and television, as well as old time radio series), is not actually the last made, as the MCMLXVI (read:"1966") copyright date shows while MCMLXVII (1967) shows.

Also note creator SHERWOOD ASCHWARTZ< who'd been promoted to exectuvie producer midway through the 1966-67
episode, in the James Bond parody coming up on my tape, "THE INVASION", yet on this so-called last produced episode of G.I. Schwartz is just plain Creator Producer again like many episodes earlier. In fact the first one, TWO ON A RAF wasn't even meant to be the first brodcast (other telltale signs that GILLIGNZS TE GODDESS was only the last broadcast but not the last filmed exist like in the earlier story editor, assistant director, versus other later episodes, like SLAVE GIRL, and so forth.

There is a music director discrepancy. While the (referring to the color shows only here) same large group of music themes appear through the series, general music composer-director GERALD FRIED is repllaced on osccasion and through mopst of early 1967 by HAWAII FIVE OP compsoer MORT STEVENS.Then GERALD FRIED returns as credited composer.

Wowe, Steve. Good detective work. LOL.

Anyway, I think they'll still be around. Russell's in good health, from what I heard last, and he's be about 90 then, right?

People have made it further than that in life.

Anyway, I think Russell or Bob might be the problems in making that 2014 date.

I hope they do that! That's a great idea! You should write a fan fiction about that!
