This year, there are nine Marvel and DC superhero shows on TV scattered across the CW, CBS, FOX, ABC and Netflix, with more to follow. Honestly, overall, this is a very strong crop of TV shows, so things I rank near the bottom are still probably better than the vast majority of what else is on TV (at least for someone with my geek-centric tendencies). Currently in season four, it is the oldest show on this list, and founder of the TV DC universe, which spans across two other shows consistently (and one other on at least one occasion). The show became obsessed with killing off characters in both real and staged ways, and the “real” deaths were negated by the power of resurrection, introduced to the show via the League of Assassins.
