"National Enquirer" Series a Go at Reelz; O.J. Simpson, Charlie Sheen Among Topics

Hot off the press: National Enquirer is officially making its move to the small screen.

Several months after The Weinstein Company joined forces with the publication's parent company American Media for a production unit, Reelz has unveiled a new docuseries centered on the magazine, "National Enquirer Investigates".

Set to premiere May 28 at 9pm. on the cable channel, each hourlong episode will feature new interviews, new evidence, archived documents as well as recreations for a deep dive into celebrity scandals.





The premiere will focus on the sudden death of Marilyn Monroe and questions about whether the Hollywood bombshell was actually murdered. According to the announcement, which promises newly released evidence, some of the possible suspects include the mob and the Kennedy family.



Confirmed topics include:

- O.J. Simpson
- Natalie Wood
- Marilyn Monroe
- Elvis Presley
- Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown
- Charlie Sheen's HIV Revelation







Harvey and Bob Weinstein are attached as executive producers, along with Jupiter Entertainment CEO Stephen Land, AMI Chairman, president CEO David Pecker, TWC evp television Patrick Reardon, Jupiter Entertainment president Allison Wallach, Jupiter Entertainment's vp of programming Deborah Allen (Vice President of Programming, Jupiter Entertainment) and Howard, who serves as AMI vice president and chief content officer.
