View Full Version : Shows you've watched so much you probably know a lot of the dialog
liane60 04-22-2016, 09:29 AM Friends
2 and a Half Men
Everybody Loves Raymond
Sometimes I try to guess the person will say next and I'm usually pretty good.
Svenfan1234 04-22-2016, 09:30 AM I don't watch modern sitcoms, but I do watch Antenna TV and have watched every episode of Good Times, Sanford and Son & All in the Family multiple times and could probably quote them word for word lol!
bmasters9 04-22-2016, 09:49 AM Hart to Hart
Bonniegirl 04-22-2016, 10:46 AM Green Acres, One day at a time, Sanford & Son
tlc38tlc38 04-22-2016, 11:24 AM Hands down---"Mama's Family"....
As mama would say, I know it so well "I could sing it in my sleep".
Svenfan1234 04-22-2016, 12:42 PM Green Acres, One day at a time, Sanford & Son
Definitely Green Acres too. I saw so many of those episodes on Antenna like, two years ago and I got really tired of Mister Ed, Green Acres and I Dream of Jeannie then, but I've gotten back into Mister Ed but not really Green Acres or I Dream of Jeannie.
Bonniegirl 04-22-2016, 12:52 PM Also Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island from Years and Years of seeing them!
Svenfan1234 04-22-2016, 12:54 PM ^Brady Bunch I haven't seen a whole lot of but I want to buy the complete series sometime, and GI I haven't seen all the episodes either but I would like to.
Adamantium 04-22-2016, 01:15 PM NewsRadio - especially the early seasons, since I had those on tape from NBC and would re-watch them all the time.
danderson400 04-22-2016, 03:55 PM i can quote a lot of dialouge from Perry Mason and China Beach because ive watched those shows so much either in reruns(or in the case of CB orginal broadcast) like
Hamilton Burger: Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, Mr. Mason has indeed surpassed himself. He has created for you a story which is pure poppycock! - absolute and complete nonsense. The defendant in this case is a shrewd, scheming woman. She seduced her employer, she stole from him and finally she murdered him. And as for Mr. Mason's ridiculous theory about a hose, this is an *abandoned real estate office* we're talking about - the water's been shut off there for over a year - how can anyone possibly...
Perry Mason: Your honor, the District Attorney is stating facts not in evidence. Since he lost the opportunity to get these matters in legitimately, in rebuttal, he is now trying to do it through prejudicial misconduct. I ask the court to declare a mistrial.
Hamilton Burger: A *mistrial*! - how can you -...
Judge: Mr. Burger, Mr. Mason's point is well taken...
the other one...
Maj. Lila Garreau: ...You think I'm a fool, don't you Lieutenant?
Nurse Colleen McMurphy: What ever gives you that impression, Major?
Maj. Lila Garreau: Most of you short timers do. My father was in for 35 years. A Master Sergeant. NCO kids didn't play with officers children. They were royalty. Nobody thought I could make it through OTS. My father cried at my graduation, then he saluted me, crisp as you please.
[Pointing at leaves on shoulder]
Maj. Lila Garreau: This means everything. I made something if myself. I know you think it's a joke. The army just gets in your way of your doing your job. But you volunteered, nobody forced you.
Nurse Colleen McMurphy: I volunteered to help the men!
Maj. Lila Garreau: That's why we're all here! It's not just your little corner of the world. Life is about choices. Most you make without realizing you're making them. Day by day of minor decisions that don't seem very important at the time. But then when you get older and look back, they shape your entire life.
