Sad news for the sitcom world!

I try to post links but never succeed.

She was truly one of the greats.:)

Don't know for sure but according to IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005368/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1) she never appeared on One Day at a Time.

Can't I just mourn with the people I hang out with on an obsessive basis?;) I didn't know this was against the rules to switch topic every once and awhile.

So sorry.

Nobody said anything about rules but it makes no sense to post an obit thread for her in this forum when apparently she didn't appear on the show. If IMDb is wrong (and it wouldn't surprise me) then I apologize.

No need to apologize. :)

I don't think she was ever on ODAAT but she would have made a great guest appearance if she had been.

RIP, D.R.

The closest connection I can make is Doris did an episode of Valerie's Hot in Cleveland. But IMDB is right, never ODAAT.

Yes, she was. I love Remington Steele. One of the best detective shows as far as I'm concerned

She would have been fun to watch as one of Katherine's never seen but frequently mentioned buddies that she hung out with.

Or perhaps Mr. Connors never seen but frequently mentioned wife.

Or any number of parts, she was so versatile.:)

She really was. I've never seen her in Everybody Loves Raymond because I've never seen that show. I know her from Remington Steele and she was a judge once on Mr. Belvedere.

If and when Danny Bonaduce passes through this mortal coil I think I can safely give him a tribute here since his father wrote so many of the episodes.

Now I am going really off topic!;)

Yeah!!! I never thought about it before, but ODAAT SEEMS like a show Doris would have guest starred on!!!! I remember her on All in the family, she was at Kelcey's bar in an ep. that Edith had a fight with Archie and she took off and went to Kelcey's and was the life of the party, playing the piano and singing!!!! Doris saw that Edith was pretty much naive, and befriended her!

Very sorry to hear of Doris's passing!! She was a wonderful comedic actress!! RIP!
