I don't know if Shout! has expressed interest in releasing a complete series of Alice, but I think it'd be a nice idea and have pressed discs instead of MOD. What does everyone else think?

I don't really care since all I care about owning are the Flo seasons---which are all available---but I hope for you fans of the "post-Flo" era you get your later seasons.

^I have never seen the show but I will buy Season 1 soon (this summer) and I hope Shout! gets the rights to the complete series set

I once hated this show, but over the years, I became more and more fond of it.

As for the future releases, I think they'll be released soon since Warner Brothers is finally getting a move on with the rest of the seasons of Family Matters

^WB said they aren't interested anymore

Well I liked the Flo years more anyway so it wouldn't bother me much I gurss

I like the Flo years the best but I would really love to have all the seasons. There's a lot of the later episodes that I've never seen and it'd be a treat.

^Same here! I've NEVER seen a single episode of Alice, though, so I'll buy the seasons too

Music rights would be less costly for Shout than for WA and I wish they would release Seasons 5-9. I have not seen many of the episodes from Seasons 7-9 at all (although I do have many on old VHS tapes from the early '90s taped from CBC).

That's definitely good news. I hope that they do. I fear WAC won't release anymore, and Shout would be the best bet.

This show should not just be LOST. After all, there shouldn't be much music compared to WKRP or The Wonder Years right? So why isn't it out? I'd love a complete series set.

I have never seen this show before either. I will not settle for partial. I would like to see it but only if it is complete. There are not even any homemade sets for this show so Seasons 1-4 are all that exist on DVD. This may be one show I never see if it is never released completely. I wish MeTV could get a hold of it, but not Antenna TV because of the credit crunching.

^Seasons 1-4 are the best anyway. If you buy those maybe it'll persuade them to release more

Karma, perhaps? (Linda...)

I contacted WB and they said that further clearances would need to be resolved before more seasons of ALICE came out. This is like the upteempth time they've said that. When are they going to be resolved???

Future Alice season DVD sets being released by Shout! Factory? Hmm, never heard of a TV show switching season-DVD set distribution rights from Warner Archive to Shout! Factory...

Well, they might be. WB says they lost interest in ALICE so Shout! or StarVista is the only option.

Actually the series Maude was picked up by Shout after a partial release by Sony.

Okay, then what about the possibility of Alice being added to video-on-demand services like Netflix or Hulu if there are no Alice season DVDs released in the future?

If there was a possibility, it'd be Amazon Instant Video.

Shout did pick up Welcome Back Kotter after Warner stalled on it. So never say never. Maybe Logo airing reruns could get the show the added boost

The Worst Warner shows in limbo are the Detective shows of the 1950's-1960's because of all the music - performance and background!
