View Full Version : Three's Company complete series only $34.96! Svenfan1234 04-03-2016, 02:10 PM On Amazon right now, the "3s Company" complete series is only $34! I already own it, but just a heads up to those who don't who might want to purchase it ... now's the time! tlc38tlc38 04-03-2016, 02:19 PM I own all the individual season sets but I may seriously look into buying this complete box set. Doesn't it include the pilot episode that wasn't on the other sets? Svenfan1234 04-03-2016, 02:28 PM ^ Yeah it does but I haven't really watched much of my set maybe I will this week opus 04-03-2016, 02:29 PM The same price at Wal-mart.com. Both make you spend $50 for free shipping, but Walmart has free in store pickup if that helps. Svenfan1234 04-03-2016, 02:34 PM I do not know whether or not Amazon charges for shipping since I have Prime and it comes with free two-day shipping but $34.96 is pretty dang good for all 8 seasons opus 04-03-2016, 02:49 PM I do not know whether or not Amazon charges for shipping since I have Prime and it comes with free two-day shipping but $34.96 is pretty dang good for all 8 seasons Yeah, I have prime too. I was posting for non-primers. Amazon recently raised free shipping up to spend $49 or more. Svenfan1234 04-03-2016, 02:50 PM ^ Oh. Yeah good point tlc38tlc38 04-03-2016, 03:15 PM I don't have prime so it'll be about $42 for me with standard shipping. That's still a pretty awesome deal! I'm still debating if I should get this set. I want it but I already own all 8 individual seasons ...BUT... I really like the new compact packaging and having those extra pilot episodes is a nice addition. JackJanetChrissy 04-03-2016, 03:18 PM I own all the individual season sets but I may seriously look into buying this complete box set. Doesn't it include the pilot episode that wasn't on the other sets? FYI I have the individual sets, and I have all three pilots. From what I've gathered, the new complete set released last year is completely identical in quality and content as the individual sets. It has a lot of benefits! BigManMike 04-03-2016, 04:11 PM I've seen it on the shelf at a Walmart in my area for this same price. tlc38tlc38 04-03-2016, 04:11 PM ^ I don't have prime for 2 reasons... 1. I don't order much from amazon anymore since I already own basically what I want with the exception of newly released TV on DVD shows and a few older titles that I still need to pick up. 2. I don't watch anything online with the exception of a few short clips here and there. I choose to do this because I prefer to watch TV shows on my TV played by an actual player. I'm a physical media nut...I don't like streaming. Svenfan1234 04-03-2016, 04:20 PM ^ That makes sense. tlc38tlc38 04-04-2016, 09:13 AM I found an unboxing video of this set on YouTube and it looks like there's a small difference between the discs in this set and the original releases: in the new set, only the season 1 disc has artwork. That's not a big deal for me but I know some people that would have a problem with it. Svenfan1234 04-04-2016, 10:20 AM ^ I see you purchased it! That's great! Hope you enjoy it! Svenfan1234 04-04-2016, 01:09 PM I've already owned this set for awhile and haven't really watched much of it. I got it for $50. tlc38tlc38 04-08-2016, 12:05 AM Lol the sale they had completely wiped out amazon's inventory of this set. I ordered it in time for the sale but my order is still pending. It says they'll email me when they're back in stock. Looks like people still love this show! Mace Dolex 04-10-2016, 02:35 AM I own all the individual season sets but I may seriously look into buying this complete box set. Doesn't it include the pilot episode that wasn't on the other sets? As far as I know there's the original pilot that we all know of with John, Joyce and Suzanne. There's the unaired pilot 1 with John Ritter and two different actresses. There's the unaired pilot 2 with John, Joyce and another actress playing Chrissy, this episode is the premise for what became the series 2nd episode. Is there another unaired discovered pilot that I don't know of? tlc38tlc38 04-11-2016, 09:51 PM My order still hasn't shipped :(. They're still out of stock. I guess I was able to still get the sale price but by the time I ordered, they were all out. Maybe it won't be too much longer. Svenfan1234 04-11-2016, 09:54 PM ^I hope not. I've owned the complete series since October 2014. JackJanetChrissy 04-11-2016, 10:43 PM As far as I know there's the original pilot that we all know of with John, Joyce and Suzanne. Is there another unaired discovered pilot that I don't know of? You're right--you listed all the pilots. All the pilots are on the original discs. JSP 04-13-2016, 04:29 PM I paid way too much for mine when it first came out, but I really wanted it at the time, so no regrets. I think the only difference between it and the individual sets is a Don Knott's tribute was included. JackJanetChrissy 04-13-2016, 09:18 PM I think the only difference between it and the individual sets is a Don Knott's tribute was included. I used to think that, too, but recently I looked and the Don Knotts tribute is included on the Season 7 set. So I guess there is no difference between the complete series vs. individual series, other than the convenience of having everything in one place. |
