It's weird that on a show like this, they didn't show cheerleaders. Football team with no cheerleaders?? It would have been entertaining to see Jo crack jokes about the cheerleaders and it would have been entertaining to see one of the girls try out for the squad. Some interesting story-lines that could have come with those...

Eastland being an all-girls' school, they didn't have a football team.

At Langley, I recall only Blair and Jo attended the college for any length of time, and neither were the cheerleading type. Edna attended for a while, too, but again, she wouldn't have been a cheerleader.

I mean, I could see them having cheerleaders for The Bates Academy, although that'd be kinda weird 'cause they're an all-boys school. I don't recall if Eastland had any sports teams???

Eastland had track, tennis, hockey, baseball...maybe more.
