It is possible that some companies may have the DVDs of their films and TV shows be devoid of any cover art, so that the gray/silver discs have only the title of the film/TV show, some copyright info, etc.. This practice is probably done to save on the cost of any disc art for the DVDs. I think Paramount mostly does this practice, and I also think Disney has done it a few times as well. I am not sure if other companies have their DVD discs devoid of any cover art. Whether DVD/Blu-Ray disc art is even necessary is probably debatable.
