Not really either? If that makes sense? I'm a Gemini!! I go to the beat of my own drummer, a free spirit I guess you would say ! I don't like to be in charge, but I don't really follow either?

Leader, when I am not posting on this site. I am a Type A personality with a "take charge" persona. I can be a little aggressive, even though I am the quiet side.

Follower, when it comes to posting on Sitcomsonline. I rarely start threads.

So to answer your question, I am both :)

I consider myself a follower at first, but the reality is I pretty much do what I want to do.

To better clarify, a leader or follower (especially for these boards).
If you start NEW THREADS--you are a LEADER,
if you only POST on THREADS--your are a FOLLOWER.

If you do BOTH, well then you are BOTH.
(Sometimes you FOLLOW, sometimes you LEAD)
I think most people fit here

If you post a NEW THREAD and get no responses, but have a lot of views, people are interested in want you post or your title. If you post and get a lot of posts and views, then you have choosen a good topic.

HAPPY POSTING

I was usually a follower but recently since I've been given a little more responsibility at my job I've become a leader hopefully that turns into a job that I really want.

A leader. In all seriousness, this is why I make a crappy worker. I do my job but don't take orders too well.

I've started threads in the past, I haven't started a thread in awhile, not because I'm a follower, but because I'm lazy.

In general, I'm very shy.

Based on making threads or posting in threads, I'm both.

Definitely a leader. When I was a kid I was more of a follower. When you're growing up there are generally older and younger kids that mix together so the older kids lead. But when you're an adult age differences are not as important.

So do you make "NEW THREADS" or just "POST" on threads?
Or are you just a LURKER?

Who is this msg directed toward?

And on the topic, I was thinking if a so called "leader" told the people to jump off the bridge and you'll get better, so many would follow directions....

Wise/Smart choice in 2020 Dude, so many made good choices and started to be a leader and get rid of the followed TIES that bound them so tightly, too sad so many have not.....

For me, it's interesting that my 50's yr old daughter shook me up from my sleep.

I am a careful follower

While growing up as the oldest of four sisters I was the leader of my sisters but as I got older, being kind of shy, I became a follower rather than a leader.

Both. If I'm in a situation and someone knows more than me, I'll follow. If I know more than others, I'll lead. I can go either way.

I've been forced to become President of the local branch of my Greek-American organization in the past year, and predictably it's been one problem after another. I was already doing most of the work of Secretary and Treasurer and have to continue all of that as well. One thing I've learned well since I've "grown up" -- Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Nothing but a bunch of cheap, worthless, and dishonest ****ing a-holes under my leadership.

Learning to lead does not guarantee that those under you will be worth a ****ing crap.

Nowadays I am neither. I have had friends and have been married for 22 years (with no children only because we didn’t make any, live babies and children) but have learned from experience to keep people at a distance. If I lived in America, I would not join any club, group or organization. God, no. Like I said, had some bad experiences, from a scout troop, to a college fraternity, to an ROTC unit my father made me join (until I quit because I am not military whatsoever). I actually hate the term “member”. What an awful, stupid word. “Member”.

I have joined some groups and clubs when I was a child and young adult and everyone has been an unqualified disaster. To me when you get a group of people together under an umbrella, there are always people who want to play games and bully other people. You invariably will dislike someone and someone is going to dislike you. This is a small reason why I so detest employment, to be forced to be with people you wouldn’t be around of you had other options.

I guess part of it might be my personality. I have always felt like an outsider and others have reinforced that. But like I said, I have had friends in the past, and still know a lot of these people from Facebook. Most of my friends were foreigners like me living in China until the “virus” came along. Now it is just basically I and my wife. There is another guy in my complex I sometimes drink beer with, but the last time I saw the guy I found out he is a gambling addict (but who makes a lot of money)) and supposedly hires prostitutes from the internet. Don’t need that person in my life. Like I said, keep people at a distance and don’t be so easy to trust.

It's not about guaranteeing, you are either a leader type or follower type or somewhere in between....

It's also about the DNA we are born with.

The Smart/Wise person does NOT hold on to Extremes..keeps an open mind to possibilities...

I think that the wise or smart adult knows his or her limitations and acts accordingly with the strengths he/she has, whether born with them or developed over time.

Also, I should point out that it's more important to do good works than to "lead." Adolf Hitler was one of the most effective "leaders" the world has ever known, yet look at the horrendously massive loss of lives and tremendous destruction he wrought.
