The NBC hit still draws a large audience of 16 million per week to its reruns. Despite premiering 22 years ago, Friends has endured because it resonates with many younger millennials, particularly this line from Monica to Rachel in the pilot: “Welcome to the real world. It sucks. You’re gonna love it.” “They (20-somethings) explain that they’ve adopted the line as a kind of generational motto,” says Adam Sternbergh. " Which the line was intended to be, sort of, except for a different generation.”

What a hateful and stereotypical statement.

You realize that there are straight men who love the show, too, right?

I am another straight man who is very fond of "Friends". It is very close behind "Mad About You" as my favorite show.

I was sure Gimme a Break was your all-time favorite.

It is understandable for you to think that. Given the number of messages that I post on that show's page. However, Helen Hunt is my favorite actress in the world. She is one of the few chicks who does an even better job of getting my motor running than Julie from "Gimme a Break!"! It is because of her that "Mad About You" is number one in my book. While I am on the topic of babes that get my motor running, all three of the female regulars from "Friends" do a pretty decent job of it as well! If you would be interested in knowing what other women in the media make me drool, you get send me a personal message and I will be happy to answer it.
