Tomorrow...I may be facing two people I haven't talked to in months...one was the guy that I was angry with (and still am a little bit)...I'm afraid to talk to him because I feel that he may be mad at me. And I'm afraid I'll deck him...

The other is my brother's girlfriend Yoko...it looks like they'll get married and I'll never find someone. That's why I said "I'm married to my work".

The other thing too about his girlfriend is...her family doesn't even like my brother. What kind of marriage will that be?

One thing I have noticed is when a family doesn't like a spouse they either come around or the marriage fails. My grandparents hated my dad because he was poor and my grandparents were well off. Plus they felt my mom could have done better. My mom looked like a living Barbie (I'm not kidding)and had her share of suitors. My dad though isn't bad looking either but never rich. My grandparents saw he was hard working and came around. On the other hand I had an ex who had a mother that hated me. She felt he could get better (he couldn't)but I think it boils down to the fact that they are Italian and she wanted him to marry an Italian. I have a friend now who is Mexican/Italian and his mother wants me to be her daughter in law! I get along with his family and he does with mine but for now we are just friends.

If those people are going to give you a hard time, just walk away. I know not always easy but some people need to be ignored. I have an insane aunt who unfriended me because I didn't want to date this friend of her stepson. He had a bunch of kids and she knows I only date childless men but her excuse was "well you're old so you should take what you can". Sorry but nope. She judges me for being single. Fortunately (or is it unfortunately)most people don't give me a hard time anymore because they assume I'll remain a spinster anyway. Like I mentioned above I have someone I am interested in but he's got issues (like drinking)and he's not a potential boyfriend unless he changes. I've looked elsewhere for men but on dating sites most are freaks.
