I mean he acts so self confident and know it all, but I think underneath he is really insecure and has a lack of self confidence. If you took his smartness away I think he would be very lost. And Mallory she is dumb at school and all so it makes her look all non self confident and disfunctional. I think though underneath she is really the one who has the self confidence and is sure of her self, i mean remeber when she was working in the store? she knew what she was doing then and stufff. Just thought I'd shre :)

I totally agree with your observations. A couple episodes that illustrate your point are how do you sleep where Alex is kept up for weeks because of his insecurities, and worries. Another episode where he shows these vulnerabilities is my name is Alex. I think alot of times the people who look the most like they have everything together often times have it very difficult in reality. And I think that was definitely the case with Alex.

Uhhh... it's not just underneath that they're opposites.....
