Shelly Long didn't like that they didn't end up together but do you?
Sam and Diane is one of the biggest will they/won't they couples in all of television. Yet in the end, they did not stay together. Do you think they should have?
I'm kind of on the fence about this. She had been gone for six years and he did fine without her, although as far as long lasting relationships go, besides his ex-wife, Diane was the longest and most recent. By the final show, he was trying to change his ways by going to the sex anonymous meetings to help with his addictions. I think the biggest problem is that Diane wanted to move Sam to California and away from Cheers and all his friends. Had she been willing to move back to Boston things would have been better. Yet, her career would have suffered. So I guess in the end, their careers (and lives) were more important than their relationship to each other.
I don't know. What do you think?
