I voted Janet. But why isn't Terry in the poll? I still would vote Janet though!

I think way out of left field with my idea - Jack should have hooked up with a Valerie Harper-played character.

Totally should've been Janet.

I think the roommates were too much like sisters to him, I'm not familiar enough with Linda, so either Vicki or another bought in character.

Anyone but Vicki.

Another lady that wasn't Vicki. Shouldn't have been any of the roommates.

I agree with Mr. Television----would've been nice to see Linda come back since Jack and Linda were a thing in Season 2 and 3 and Jack's only steady girlfriend in the whole series. She seemed very even-keeled and funny.

I didn't include Terri because there was no hint of romance between her and Jack. However, I know that people like Jack and Janet, and Suzanne Somers wanted to come back for Three's A Crowd as Jack's love interest so I included Chrissy. And Linda's included just because.

I chose Vicki but it could have been someone else new as well. Just not any of the roommates, so it would be like the original British version.

Janet became more of a nag in the later years.
Before that, I would have said Janet.

So with Janet out, I say Linda.

Larry (Kidding of course).
My line of thinking is that after living with 3 different women, Jack then comes to the realization that it's men he likes.

I would have totally watched a Jack and Larry as swingin' bachelor roomies, with Larry as the cad always getting in trouble and Jack as the nice guy who has to get out of trouble. Now I really wish that would've happened....

Janet for sure.

I always saw the girls as sisters more than a possible love interest that the thought never crossed my mind plus it would have been creepy.

Which is why I chose Vicki but the producers should have been smart enough to have Vicki introduced earlier in the season to familiarize with the viewers.

You're all wrong. Jack should have ended up with Mrs. Roper!! (which would have really confused Mr. Roper who actually seemed to believe that Jack was gay!)

Marvo, you're a genius!

In all seriousness, though, I picked Linda because she and Jack had good chemistry, and she was easy-going and fun. Of course, they would have had to reintroduce her in Season 8, so that it didn't feel completely out of the blue.

Jack and Chrissy might have worked if Chrissy had morphed back into the character she was in Season 1. After they dumbed her down, she and Jack didn't have the same chemistry. He often showed signs of frustration with her, but he just bit his tongue and rolled his eyes.

When Janet got on his nerves he would take her on, which to me is more realistic in a long term relationship. Janet could really go back and forth between being tender and nagging. I might have enjoyed a show about the two of them if there was a possibility that getting some Jack-loving would have made her less tense and frenetic. I could see them being like Claire and Phil from Modern Family.

Vicki was just terrible. She was boring and uncharismatic. Unlike Mace Dolex, I don't think any amount of build up would have made her more palatable.

I voted for Janet. She seemed to be more of Jack's match. Chrissy was just a chick to look at but Janet was beautiful, had her head on straight and I'm sure she would help Jack at Jack's Bistro whenever she could. Vicky was just lame in my opinion and her father...OY!!

I agree with you about morphing Chrissy back to her SEason 1 self. She was just too weirdly childlike by Season 4.

I think Janet was better at the beginning of the show, too. She wasn't as goofy or zany or petty in the first few seasons as they made her after Chrissy left the show. At the beginning she was funny and serious (but could still surprise people, like with the nude beach excursion). By Season 8 Janet was quitting her job left and right for silly things and throwing tantrums. I agree, she would've made a better partner than Vicky.

I like Linda, too. But maybe I like her of all his girlfriends because she seemed the most like Janet, lol.
