One thing that I have mentioned here on a bunch of occasions is that virtually if not absolutely every episode of "Gimme a Break!" is available on You Tube. Some episodes have multiple uploads. Unlike uploads of some shows, uploads of this series tend to stay up year after year. I am guessing that this has something to do with how seldom this show comes on syndication and how much of a has-been series it is. According to my experiences, most people who were born after Generation X do not know it from a hole in the ground. Nothing past the first season was ever put on DVD in the United States. Anyone who wanted anything after that had to order it from Canada. I am guessing that, the people who own the rights to it feel that people who were going to do this have already done it. This being the case, they had nothing to lose by it being up on You Tube. One show that is an entirely different ballgame, however is "Three's Company". People have tried a countless number of times to upload episodes of this series onto You Tube. However, these uploads tended to get taken down within a day or so. But, if you head over to You Tube now, you will find episodes of "Three's Company" that were uploaded as long as three weeks ago. I find this very impressive! I wonder if this means that the people who own the rights to this series are finally starting to mellow. I also wonder whether, since "Three's Company" episodes are managing to stay up, maybe episodes of such shows as the "Flintstones" and the "Jetsons" might be close behind. It is always nice to dream!
