"Person of Interest's" Season 5 Premiere Date Announced (with a Twist)

CBS is making up for lost time where "Person of Interest's" long-delayed 5th season is concerned. The network announced that it will air twice a week on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10/c beginning in early May.

Season 5 will launch on Tuesday, May 3rd, with episode 2 airing the following Monday, May 9th (Episode 3 on Tuesday, May 10th and so on...)

The show's season finale is set for Tuesday, June 21st.





The network is not announcing the show's cancellation, but there are signs pointing in that direction.

J.J. Abrams said at the TCA Winter Press Tour in January that he predicts Season 5 will be the last season. Season 5 then got a shortened 13-episode order and was absent from the network's original 2015-16 schedule with any subsequent mid-season announcements.

Co-star Sarah Shahi has also recently snagged the starring role of CBS' "Nancy Drew" pilot.

CBS has confirmed that the upcoming fifth season of "Person of Interest" will indeed be its last.

They sure treated it like garbage.

Oh well, one less reason to watch CBS.

The fifth and final season kicks off on May 3, CBS announced earlier today. In response, executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman said in a statement to IGN: "We’re extremely excited (http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/03/16/person-of-interest-coming-to-an-end-with-season-5) to be able share this final season with the fans.
