Yes, I'm sorry that Mr. Conaway had an unpleasant parting with the show- and a rather tragic postshow life and death.
However; in watching the show all over again, it seems time and time again that Bobby kept trying to rub everyone else's face in the fact that he was 'slumming' to be a cabbie but that he was just ONE role away from becoming a STAR ACTOR. Even factoring Louie's constant put downs and disses, Bobby just didn't seem to a sympathetic or likable character, IMO. Moreover, he alone of ALL the cabbies made ZERO attempt to try to see if he could be civil to Louie (and I agree Louie could be VERY obnoxious but at least there were times he was trying to overcome that and be a nicer person only to have Bobby just egg him on). It seems Bobby's only virtue on the show was that everyone else besides Louie inexplicably liked him despite him always having his nose in the air to them.
I know this may be an unpopular or even unique opinion but I thought it needed to be said.
