I see that CM is preparing for the possibility of a network picking up the series as they are allowing videos of new mysteries to be submitted.
They say they are prepared to go back into production if a network were to pick them up.
I believe it is a great thing they are allowing stories on their channel.
However it seems unlikely a network would pick it up. The demise of AMW seems to have heralded the end of the crime fighting show era.

I tend to agree that the UM/AMW heyday is over. However, I think we have more reason to be optimistic than we have in the past. The success of Serial, Making a Murderer, and The Jinx have made "true crime" more popular. There has been an explosion of new true crime/mystery podcasts just in the past few months.

Let's hope some network (or even cable network) decides to jump on this!

I agree. Seems like a channel like Investigation Discovery would be a good fit. Only thing is, I have to think these aren't cheap to produce hence why Unsolved Mysteries 2.0 was just re-packaged news stories and recreations with some updates.

The fact that it looks cheap and was done cheaply is sad, especially since the cheapness is painfully obvious. One could get the feeling that they let the privilege of having the show back on television outweigh their concern for quality. If they were trying make compromises in order to get the show back on the air, they compromised poorly. It goes to show that cheaper does not always mean better.

I'm back in Dallas to visit and we have a local network here called escape it appears to be a national digital channel? Anyway they show mostly crime shows like American justice, LAPD, FBI files, and UM deuce. UM deuce comes on 3 times per day! And they even show the previews on the commercials during other shows its kind of old school. UM deuce is starting to grow on me mostly because I do like the late Dennis farina and it is all I can watch at the moment. It's not nearly as dark or eerie as the original and maybe that's what the remake is lacking.

I do hope that UM shows new cases. I've been seeing their Facebook page and there is clearly a demand and I think they know that. I just wonder how much their contract for UM deuce has to do with their current situation.
