After 2 1/2 years of searching, our church has gotten a new pastor.

I hope he brings new life to our church and stays on for a decade or two....

We had intern pastors during that time...I wonder if they'll remain?

I'm happy for your Church. Our Church went a long time without a pastor before our current Pastor arrived. We had an intrem Pastor for a year or so and guest speakers for months before that. Our church is doing well and seems to be growing. I hope things will go well for your chuch too!
