Yesm last minute they decided to skip episode 70 and air 170 instead. Episodes 71 and 72 will air tomorrow. Another skip will be on Tuesday at 12:30, they will air 171 instead of 76. The reason is: Controversial Episodes.

What's going on is they're run by the same clowns who run N@N and they are a bunch of CONSERVATIVE ***HOLES! They are soooooo worried about ANY sort of controversy that these shows might bring, that they simply choose not to air them. They are literally worried about angry mothers calling up and saying, "My little Johnny was watching that episode of Diff'rent Strokes today dealing with a serious issue and he is much too young for that! How DARE you play that episode ... I thought I could trust your network!" I just can't believe what N@N and TNN are pulling here. It is flat-out wrong. These conservative ***hols are still living in the 50s. Its pretty pathetic.

well, i find it funny that some networks allow some garbage i see on it these days, for example, people talking in detail about their sexual experiences on cable tv, but yet you cant air contraversal episodes of an older tv show. it makes me sick

I agree, if you consider Jerry Springer for instance. That has people standing up, taking their cloathes off and talking about their sexual escapades in front of an audience. Can someone seriously say that they would rather their young child see that than a so-called "controversial" Diff'rent Strokes.

Trouble run into my critisim here, they will not show controversial Diff'rent Strokes but a channel owned by the same company show Jerry Springer 3 or 4 times a day.

You know something is TERRIBLY wrong with our society when we have to worry about friggin old reruns of Diff'rent Strokes actually offending people! We're not talking about Howard Stern, South Park, or Jerry Springer here! It's DIFF'RENT STROKES! It boggles my mind how anybody could be offended by any episode that this lighthearted 80s sitcom has to offer. It was OK for a major network to play it in prime-time in the early 80s, but not OK for cable in 2002?! Please! This almost sounds like Communism or something: "WE, THE NETWORKS, WILL DETERMINE WHAT IS 'RIGHT' AND WHAT IS 'WRONG' ... WHAT IS 'GOOD' AND WHAT IS 'EVIL' ... WE WILL DECIDE WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT SEE!" Give me a f-in break. Screw N@N and TNN. Give the show to a network that can actually handle it. Funny thing is, these people are causing more controversy by NOT playing certain episodes than they would if they DID.
