I know all about Joe Kearns liquid diet and following hemorrhage, but during "The Man next Door" George seemed to fall on part of his head as he was trying to gather some evidence from his neighbors basement....Maybe his stroke could have been a combination of the liquid diet and the head fall...... Back in those days everything wasn't disected for fault like today....... Never know for sure but is an interesting thought....

I know this was discussed on another thread on here in the past few years. Our consensus was that a stunt double took that fall for Joseph Kearns. It is fascinating to think otherwise, but I can't imagine a 54- or 55-year-old actor taking that kind of fall intentionally.
I would link to that comment but I can't find it at the moment.

schmave,
You are correct...... I stopped framed it trying to prove otherwise but could not lock into a visible face or body ID of Joe Kearns... What really convinced me was at the beginning point of fall and the end landing they have an insert edit which is more than likely the spot where they inserted the double.... Good eye.....
