Hawkee 09-04-2019, 12:24 AM I remember seeing an episode of Bob once when it first debuted and I don't know how Bob Newhart changed from playing nice gentleman characters on his previous sitcoms The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart to being a cool comic book artist on Bob and I think this sitcom was meant to help Bob Newhart make his sitcom comeback and I think CBS had high hopes for Bob when it debuted and despite being a awesome sitcom CBS decided to cancel it but seeing Bob Newhart play a comic book artist was one of Bob Newhart's most awesome roles ever done plus you just got to love Bob Newhart drawn as a superhero too. I bet Disney got inspired to do The Incredibles from Bob and even named the character Bob Parr "Mr. Incredible" after Bob Newhart. Could that be weird? Bestie DadTheKing 09-04-2019, 02:25 AM Hi, Bestie! You might be right about Mr. Incredible being copied from Bob. I never saw the show. Hopefully METV gets it DTK Samme 11-16-2019, 07:19 AM Bob's worst show. Just a silly sitcom with Bob's same character and no supporting characters who belonged with Bob. It didn't have a chance of working. While George & Leo (with Judd Hirsch) was Bob's good show that failed and should have lasted longer. someguy23475 10-01-2020, 08:46 AM First season was OK. I didn’t even know the second season existed until recently. When I finally saw it, I see why. It’s terrible. The humor is gone. Why CBS thought changing the entire premise would be successful I’ll never understand. |
