Sports? Yes, depending upon the season. But to me, there isnt a damn thing on Saturday's. It could be just me. I can always find something on Sunday's but Saturday seems to be so bad.

Antenna TV has a good block from 2-4 with Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Mr. Belvedere. One of my affiliates airs Leverage at 2PM Saturdays but that would vary depending on the area.

Makes you long for when the networks, especially CBS, had plenty to offer on Saturdays, like in the 70s, when there was MTM, The Bob Newhart Show, and All In The Family, among others.

Why wouldn't it be? Most people are out on Saturday afternoon taking care of things they couldn't take care of doing the week

Prime Time TV is worst for me on the weekends, especially Saturday. Friday's shows are almost as bad in my opinion. It is just a decades old strategy of putting on their weakest shows on those nights because more people are outside on the weekends and more inside during the weekdays because of work and school the next day.

Now in the 21st Century, you should not have any problem whatsoever to find an interesting television show or movie you like because there are so many choices now, cable/satellite, Netflix and all those other services on demand. Internet stuff like Hulu, the networks themselves and other easy to find websites which have content. I just watched online an ABC miniseries Madoff with Richard Dryfuss. In China, a month after the show was on.

In many ways, Idislike the times that we live in, but I love the entertainment options and choices. I am old enough to remember in childhood in the 1970's basically three television stations, which a lot of nights showed three crap shows at the same time. No DVD's yet, few people had VCRs. If you wanted to see a movie, you went and saw it because once it left the theater wont be on television for years, and then butchered by the network because stupid people cannot tolerate certain so called "dirty" or "curse" words.

Look online, dig up a buried treasure!

I have to say Saturday afternoons are pretty bad for tv. But, there are few good things on like Untold Stories Of The E.R. , Weekend westerns on MeTv, Antenna Tv, and Decades Binge(depending on the show)

The evenings on the other hand, are very good time for tv shows on Saturday

Until the 90s, Saturday and Sunday afternoons was when local TV affiliates would re-air either old or low-budget movies.

So yes, you're right.

Saturdays used to also be a huge day (especially in the 80s and 90s) for stations to air first-run syndicated shows.

For me, the shows are early morning midnight to 5:00A.M.

I like the black and white Movie Network channel on me over the air Digital Antenna! Best movies happen at that time!

When I was staying at my parents house in Memphis, there was a station called Esquire (same as the magazine) that did marathons of Parks and Recreation (awesome) and Sanford and Son.

The CBS affiliate in Memphis used to show these wonderful old films from the 1920s-1940's because the station had one of the largest old movie film collection outside of Hollywood. Old stuff like Marx Brothers, Ma and Pa Kettle, the Johnny Weismueller Tarzan films, Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, and my childhood favorite Laurel and Hardy. Loved Laurel and Hardy. They also showed the 1950's George Reeves Superman. Now, I really appreciate them to expose me to all those wonderful old movies as a child.

The station stopped showing these on the weekend in the 1980's and now the station is nothing but news and informercials. But now there is YouTube. Not the same though.

Saturday has some good television. Weekend Westerns , Antenna Tv has a good afternoon block and evening block, Decades Binge is alright (depends on the show that's being binged)

Sunday's a different story though. The late morning to afternoon lineup is crap. Metv And Antenna TV just show paid programming until about 1:00P.M. The early evening lineup on Antenna TV is good with shows like Evening Shade, Doogie Howser,Dear John. Antenna TV also has a good late night lineup with shows like Newhart, Barney Miller, Threes Company, etc... Metvs lineup in the late night hours is also good, but unfortunately, I'm not always up at 12:00A.M to catch Mary Tyler Moore or Taxi

I don't get Decades and I don't know if I'd really want it. I used to want "Heroes and Icons" but since then I bought the complete series of 21 Jump Street and The Commish, which would be what I would watch anyways. I plan on getting "Hill Street Blues" this summer.

Decades has really been disappointing and lousy for the most part, but next weekend they are having a Get Smart marathon and I'm looking forward to that. I don't watch Decades much but I will watch Get Smart since I haven't seen it in so long. I wish they would have better shows in their marathons because most of them are boring.

One thing I've noticed about Decades is that it overplays The Dick Cavett Show. Another thing I've been noticing is that they've been playing the same select few shows everyday. And for the weekend binges, it's the same 10 shows.

Back in 2006, when TV land aired the Jeffersons all Labor Day weekend, my mom thought something happened to me because she didn't hear from me all weekend

what happened was i turned off my phone so I could enjoy the Jeffersons without interruption all weekend lol

1PM Small Wonder
2PM Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
3PM Mr. Belvedere
4PM Doogie Howser, M.D.
6PM Mork & Mindy
7PM One Day at a Time
10PM Johnny Carson

Me-TV has "Svengoolie" on so that's what I watch :D Last night was "Bride of Frankenstein". A classic!

Me-TV wins on Sundays with "The Brady Brunch", "Happy Days", "Laverne & Shirley", "I Love Lucy", and "The Love Boat."
