...that this show is just mildly funny but not laugh out hysterics funny.

I was born in '76 so I remember the 1980's very vividly from movies/TV to political pop culture scandals and world events but I don't think throwing in a 1980's reference is actually considered comedy or even good writing but just plain lazy.

I've been giving it a shot since the show premiered but now I just occasionally watch it everybso often, the oldest son is so clueless that there's no defining his character role on the show except to come up with stupid ideas and the youngest son is soon getting into his teens that I don't know how long the show can keep its 1980's settings. (there's Fresh Off The Boat for that)

So yeah thats my two cents maybe I'll stick with it to chuckle a bit at the out of context 1980's references but in no way would I place this in my Top-10 must see shows.

It might not be in the top 10 shows but it sure is for the shows that premiered since 2000.

Compared to the CRAP TV shows that are out nowadays, I'd say that The Goldbergs is awesome.

I agree, at least it's about a family. It has some very funny moments. I'm more of a 70's teenager so for me the 1980's was my 20's. Best decade of my life.

Don't any of you people get it???
This show is about the fact that we don't see shows like The Wonder Years anymore. It is actually a satire on television.
