On various occasions, I have written about another site that I visit that has a message board for "Gimme a Break!". I would like to be able to post messages on this site, but the red tape that they put newcomers through is more than I can deal with. In any event, eight hours ago, somebody posted something that I had no idea of. Pryor to the time that "Gimme a Break!" made its debut, they only thing that I knew for a fact that Lauri Hendler (Julie) was in was one episode of "Three's Company". Well, this poster wrote about something that she had been in that was completely new to me. The first thing that you have to understand is that the "Facts of Life" was a spin-off of "Different Strokes". Well, it seems that, in the episode of "Different Stokes" that served as the pilot episode for "Facts of Life", Lauri Hendler was in several background scenes. Does anyone here know anything about that situation? She would have been about fourteen at this stage in the game. I wonder if it was originally in the plans for her to be a character on "Facts of Life".
