In 1989 NBC had a very cute sitcom named Sister Kate that's considered one of the most underrated sitcoms of the 80's and Sister Kate was so wonderful that I don't know why NBC cancelled it and it was the show that made a young Jason Prestley a household name in TV. Sister Kate also had the very cute theme song Maybe An Angel sung by singer Amy Grant,

Sister Kate was also the show that made the actress that played Sister Kate a household name in America and I don't know why she never got to do another sitcom after Sister Kate was cancelled. Also why didn't Amy Grant release the theme song Maybe An Angel on one of her albums?
What caused Sister Kate's cancellation?,

I have like 9 episodes here out of 19 or so that were made. I liked the show. I think I remember I thought one of the girls was cute is why I watched it.

I do remember it for Stephanie Beacham appeared on the show shortly after Dynasty left the air. The best thing I like about the show was the theme song. It did have an uplifting sound.

I remember seeing the first episode of the show in 1989. Was there a kid with dreadlocks in it? I vaguely remember a scene with him sitting on the stairs having words to another girl. He said something along of the lines of "Shut up woman!"

Was Sister Kate the first sitcom to have a wheelchair bound character and was the actress that played the wheelchair character also wheelchair bound too? When I watched Sister Kate on Youtube I was surprised to see a character in a wheelchair because not since Gerri Jewell made history in The Facts Of Life have we seen actors and actresses that are in wheelchairs or special needs take center stage in sitcoms

Hi, Bestie! I barely remember that show. Did anybody but Jason Priestly go on to have a career?

I loved Sister Kate! I was so bummed when it was cancelled. I seem to recall Milli Vanilli guest starring in an episode!
