Earlier today, I brought to the top of this page a thread that I had started myself a while back. For a while, the topic that I had started with stimulated some very interesting conversation. In my most recent addition, I mentioned an actress that I admire who I thought looked especially good in a pair of boots. You see, the actress was in the sitcom "Gimme a Break!" and I was thirteen-years-old when this episode came out. Boy did my eyes pop out of my head! Ever since then, I have had a very big weakness for babes in boots. At about the same time as "Gimme a Break!" another character who I thought looked especially good in boots was Blair from "Facts of Life". In more recent years, the shows that featured babes with outfits that included boots have included "Friends" and "Will and Grace". I even remember an episode of "Frasier" in which a marginal female character appeared in an attire that included a pair of dress boots. I thought she was pretty hot! One thing that the last three shows that I mentioned had in common with "Mad About You" is that they all catered to the Yuppie generation. However, to the best of my memory, none of the female characters from "Mad About You" ever wore boots! I find this surprising given the diversity of the female characters and all of the different types of outfits that they would wear. Throughout the run of the series, we would see babes in skirts, dresses, slacks, jeans, sweaters, heels and stockings. But I do not remember any boots! Would anyone here like to kick around some theories as to why this is?
