Awhile back, I started getting e-mails from somebody selling discs under the name ClassicTvShows/B & D Marketing. I never bought anything from there or even paid much attention to the e-mails, but I was curious how they had gotten my e-mail address. Several days ago, a trading friend whom I regularly e-mail with said he bought something for $30 there, but never received the discs and they didn't respond to his e-mails.
I don't know who this person (ClassicTvShows) is or if they're a member here, but was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them? I find it suspicious he would operate under the guise of a "company" as opposed to a person.
Thanks.

ive been getting emails from that thing for 5-10 years now but never paid it any attention. i have been wondering how they got my email address. if i had to guess they might have checked out the trade section here and went to member profiles and wrote all the email address down in peoples profiles.

Just found their website and their "have" lists are super generic, like they've been copy-pasted from elsewhere. Don't want to libel anyone, but doesn't seem on the up-and-up.

I've bought several "Hard to Find" DVD sets from this site and have never had any problems (Bear in mind these ARE bootleg DVDs).

I found this on a search ofClassicTvShows/B & D Marketinghttp://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Classic-Collections/internet/Classic-Collections-BD-Marketing-Donna-is-selling-bootlegs-of-old-TV-series-that-do-not-p-958070.
Now I know people use this rip off site as a revenage site so it may not be true and then again it may be true

I have had a look on sell, and most of the feedback is positive, heck I might buy something from him or her and report back if it came or not

I e-mailed him and asked if had the short color Hineymooners sketches that haven't seen the light of day since the 60s and 70s. He replied by saying that he didn't know but for me to check out his catalog. I did and he doesn't have them. Since I am not interested in any of the things in his catalog, at least I can say that I wasn't scammed.
