Besides showing movies from time to time I've noticed that Reelz Channel no longer shows sitcoms anymore and it seems that anytime you watch Reelz Channel they seem to have an obsession with shows about celebrities and shows about celebrity deaths and I would like to know if Reelz Channel is changing it's image and is focusing on celebrity shows rather than sitcoms? Because when I have seen Reelz Channel they seem to have shows with titles such as The Private Life Of Michael Jackson or The Mysteries Of Whitney Houston and I think with shows like this Reelz Channel is trying to gain a new audience to it's channel? I remember when Reelz Channel used to show reruns of sitcoms like Cheers and Spin City and many more sitcoms were featured as well but since this new change of Reelz Channel it seems that Reelz Channel no longer shows interest in sitcoms,
Have you noticed this about Reelz Channel and do you think Reelz Channel should show sitcoms again?

A few years ago Reelz was in my top 5 channels. Wings was my most watched show that year, and I also liked Coach, Cheers, and 3rd Rock from the Sun. Plus they aired full closing credits. It didn't take long for Reelz to jump the shark after that though, they're totally useless now.

Seems like that happens to most channels. Great one minute and then JTS.

One of the reasons I think Reelz Channel changed it's image is that they are trying to attract a new audience of celebrity fans and started focusing less on sitcoms and becoming a celebrity news channel really has made them adopt a new image. Besides focusing on shows about celebrity deaths Reelz Channel also has lots of shows about many celebrities and shows about just about any movie made in history with titles such as The Inside Story Of Home Alone or a celebrity show with a title such as Robin Williams Legacy Of A Legend or Ted Danson's Ride To Superstardom. But I think if Reelz Channel could add sitcoms to their lineup such as Newsradio Mad About You and other sitcoms Reelz Channel would return to it's roots and air movies and sitcoms once again and that would be so great

In some respects, I think that the Reelz Channel (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/NetworkDecay/Slipped) has become what the E! Network was during its early years (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programs_broadcast_by_E!) (i.e. before it became the "Kardashian Channel"), when they had stuff like The E! True Hollywood Story.
